It was in fact Mark who made the introduction and so we are not only grateful to Mark for his superb work with the band over the past year but also for helping us to secure Archie to take the band forward and continue building on our recent achievements.

Archie's musical journey began at the age of six on the Cornet, where he quickly developed a passion for brass music. He dedicated much of his early years to extracurricular musical activities with the Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT).

In 2016, Archie secured a place at the prestigious Leeds College of Music, where he undertook comprehensive study in Classical Trumpet, Jazz Saxophone, and Conducting. He graduated in 2019, earning a First Class Honours Degree in Music.

For the past seven years, Archie has established a successful portfolio career across various musical disciplines, working as an instrumental teacher, Music Centre instructor, conductor, and performer.

His conducting experience is broad, encompassing work with orchestras, wind bands, and jazz ensembles. This appointment with Brackley and District Band marks his first formal position as a brass band conductor, a challenge he is eager to embrace. We are looking forward to developing with Archie as his brass band conducting experience grows.

Archie is tremendously excited to begin his tenure with Brackley and District Band. He is committed to building upon the band's excellent recent experiences and aims to continue their success both on the contest stage and in their concert performances.
